My Story

I’m Melissa Jayne.  I’m here to help you shine from the inside out (again)!  Here’s my unique story on how I’ve ended up doing the interesting mix of tools and services that I provide to both adults and children…

I offer the tools and services I provide because I know they really work and create positive change for people so that they can be the best they can be and live into their fullest potential.

I initially qualified as an accountant for a large professional services firm where I loved analysis, evidence and logic.  Back then, I would’ve totally mocked the work I do now and been my own worst skeptic!  I also loved and have always been great with people; motivating and inspiring others and a real problem solver.

I later transferred into executive coaching and leadership development where I could more fully pursue my love for helping others.  I realised that people and their lives were complex and unless you addressed the whole person as the unique individual that they were, sustainable transformation couldn’t be achieved.  This meant recognising all of the person and ensuring there was no separation between their ‘work’ self and their ‘home’ self as any incongruence always spilt into other aspects of their life anyway.

I’ve also fostered children for more than 10 years, many of whom had significant trauma and abuse histories that affected their day to day life in the present in many ways.  I then trained extensively in trauma-informed approaches and attachment focused parenting.  As part of this role, I came to care for a teenage boy who I’d known from a young age.  This boy couldn’t function hour to hour let alone day by day and his then current treatments (of medication and psychotherapy) were to no avail.  It was then that I felt a sense of desperation and an open willingness to try anything….and I mean anything!  Whatever works right?!

I began to seek out various energy and emotion based techniques with different practitioners.  And these things did work and they worked quickly and sustainably by comparison.

They are the very techniques and modalities I am now trained in and practice.  I use my unique skills and experiences on myself, my loved ones and each of my clients so that they can live their best life possible!

Whether you want to clear emotional blocks, overcome your fears, heal from your past, clear patterns or self limiting beliefs, or are just feeling stuck or confused, I can facilitate both children and adults in the direction you choose.

I create a safe, trusting environment and uses a range of tools and techniques that are gentle, unintrusive, yet efficient and effective. My passion is helping you to uncover the root cause(s) of what is holding you back and keeping you stuck so that you can step into the life you want.

Melissa’s holistic approach to finding balance in your mind, body and spirit is based on a belief that there is a healing energy that we can connect to for assistance. The remedies, approaches and techniques used during your healing session with Melissa are not intended to substitute for professional medical care or treatment, but can work alongside to help you achieve your desired state of wellbeing.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. You’re playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
